ALEXANDRE FERNANDES COMPANY MANAGER, PHYSIO

Alexandre Fernandes
Managing Director, Physio
Alexandre has graduated in Physiotherapy from Universidade de Aveiro and commenced work at private hospitals in the Algarve.
He continued his dedication in musculoskeletal and sports conditions and was certified in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy by Manual Concepts/Curtin University (Australia).
Alexandre founded Phixu, a project emerged to mark the difference: provide elite quality and individualized home-based physiotherapy, for those who require the best. His interests are audio, piano and sleight of hand.
He now serves as the company manager, making sure the best service is delivered and expanding the business to all corners of the Algarve and Lisbon.
David Freire
Physiotherapist, Osteopath
David has graduated in Physiotherapy from the Higher School of Health of the Portuguese Red Cross and is a Master of Osteopathy by the Madrid School of Osteopathy (5 years).
He started as a physiotherapist working in geriatrics and neurology. But since then all his focus has been on sports and musculoskeletal conditions. He has worked in various private clinics across the country and spent 4 years working as a physiotherapist on handball and basketball teams (including the senior national team).
David is mostly responsible for providing support in the osteopathic area. His interests are sports rehabilitation through custom planned exercise and manual therapy. In his free time, he enjoys padel.

Joana graduated in Physiotherapy from the Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Lisboa in 2015 and completed her Osteopathy studies in 2021, after 5 years at the Escuela de Osteopatía de Madrid (EOM) and 1 year at Instituto Piaget.
She has worked in private clinics and in football and basketball clubs, and more recently has been developing her practice in a hospital setting. In 2023, she completed a Postgraduate degree in Respiratory Physiotherapy, and in 2021 specialized training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage – Leduc Method.
Her main interests are acute injury management and combining her background in physiotherapy and osteopathy to provide effective patient care. In her free time, she enjoys exercising (gym, yoga, and padel), traveling, and spending time at the beach.

Daniel Oliveira
Physiotherapist, Sports Rehab
Daniel holds a degree in Sports Science from the University of Evora and a degree in Physiotherapy from School of Health of Setúbal. Merging these two knowledge fields make him very proficient at sports conditions and advanced rehabilitation exercise.
After he continued to specialize in the area with Hanze School (Groningen) finishing the "Minor Physiotherapy & Sports" course he worked at private hospital in the Algarve and Sporting Clube Farense in the 2021-2022 season.
He is now one of the main physios at Phixu with great expertise in sports rehab and post-surgery rehab feeling at ease treating any musculoskeletal condition from the common ankle sprain to that lower back pain that won't go away.
Luís Dinis
Physiotherapist, Personal Training
Graduated in Physiotherapy from the Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Lisboa in 2022, Luís Dinis combines extensive experience in the field with a solid academic background. He holds a second degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences from the Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativas (completed in 2017) and a Postgraduate degree in Strength and Conditioning from the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana (completed in 2022). Specializing in sports rehabilitation and orthopedic physiotherapy, Luís has built a significant career in Lisbon, focusing on the treatment of shoulder and spinal pathologies. He also leverages his expertise in personal training to design customized exercise programs that enhance recovery and performance. His experience includes working as a senior physiotherapist in both clinical and home settings, utilizing advanced techniques to optimize functionality and improve quality of life for patients of all ages.

Pedro Silva
Physiotherapist
Pedro graduated in Physiotherapy from the Faculdade da Cruz Vermelha de Lisboa in 2024. He holds several postgraduate qualifications, including Sports Rehabilitation, Basic Life Support and AED (SBV-DEA), Ergonomics in Work Environments and Risk, as well as training in Electroacupuncture and Dry Needling.
After an internship in Finland, he began working at Fisiogaspar.
He has experience supporting the senior team of Sintrense, the women’s team of AD Pastéis, and players from CAC. He also worked in a nursing home in Ramada, where he gained valuable experience with the elderly population.
Currently, Pedro collaborates with Indoor Padel Clube, providing care both to athletes and to clients with work-related or traumatic injuries.​
In his free time, Pedro enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring nature—often through camping adventures across Europe.
